Oft Interred With Their Bones was recorded and mixed on 24-track analog tape by Scott Ramsayer at Warzone Recorders in Chicago, housed in a mosquito-infested building on Larabee Street that is now home to Chicago Trax studios.

 

Tony played electric and acoustic guitar, sang lead vocals on the songs he wrote, and sang backing vocals on the songs Devin wrote. He also played a bit of trumpet.

 

Devin played harmonica, sang lead vocals on the songs he wrote, and sang backing vocals on the songs Tony wrote.

 

John Scholvin played plenty of electric and acoustic guitar and a pinch of piano.

 

Scott Hedrick played bass.

 

Greg Newman played drums.

 

Scott Ramsayer played assorted keyboard tracks.

 

Mark Corey played trombone.

Ken Gleason played saxophone.

Woody Ma played trumpet.

Tuey Connell played banjo.

The CD was mastered by Jason Rau and xxx at Monsterdisc in Chicago.

The cover was shot by Amy Rachlin at Tony's apartment (and later digitally composed by Scott Hedrick). Tony's wife (then girlfriend) Tammy spent two days cramming to teach their dog Maybelline (R.I.P.) to sit still with a giant bone in her mouth.

 

The band shots were taken by Amy Rachlin at Warzone. A doctor friend loaned us a real skeleton, but it was nasty and missing too many parts, so we used a fake one instead.
