I understand that almost nobody will care, but if everybody else can make a list, why can't I?

If I were stuck on a desert island and could only have one CD, it would be a CD-ROM cookbook that tells me how to fix delicious desert island burritos with monkeys and palm leaves. But in lieu of that, I would not mind spending eternity with the following albums.

I have given myself the arbitrary and ludicrous restriction of choosing only one album per artist. Also, I have put them in alphabetical order, not in order of preference. After all, since none of them are the Counting Crows or Natalie Merchant, I don't need to leave any of them at home with my wife.
